FABRI managers' meeting in Würzburg: Focus on knowledge and the future

12.05.2025

From May 8 to 10, 2025, more than 30 executives from 15 companies of the FABRI Group came together in Würzburg for the annual leadership meeting. Personal exchange was at the heart of the event, offering valuable impulses for collaboration across the entire group. In discussions, workshops, and shared activities, new ideas were developed and important decisions were made for the future.‍The program reflected the dynamism and diversity of the FABRI Group. A particularly inspiring moment was the keynote by Lukas Hartmann from “Helden im Handwerk” (“Heroes in Craft”) entitled “We Make Craftsmanship Visible.” With his passion for authentic communication in the skilled trades, he impressively demonstrated how modern branding and visibility can create real competitive advantages.‍Another highlight was the presentation by Tim Bunkus (adesso AG) on Artificial Intelligence in the Building Services Trade (TGA). In his talk, he spanned the arc from technical fundamentals to concrete practical applications in the skilled trades – hands-on, easy to understand, and forward-looking. Especially the quote from Justin Trudeau, “The pace of change has never been this fast, yet it will never be this slow again,” powerfully underscored the importance of innovation and momentum. As a group, the FABRI companies have strong potential to explore new technologies together and adapt them to individual needs – in the spirit of: it’s not about what we do, but how we do it better together.‍The program was rounded out by a practical workshop on Cybersecurity. In times of increasing digital connectivity, protecting data and systems is a central issue for all companies. The workshop not only imparted knowledge but also raised awareness of concrete fields of action in the companies' day-to-day operations.‍The atmosphere of the meeting was marked by openness, commitment, and a shared goal: to move the group forward. The personal interaction and intensive exchange once again demonstrated how valuable the network within FABRI truly is.‍Markus Zübert, board member of the FABRI Group, summed it up in his closing remarks: “With each new personality, our group doesn’t just grow in size – it grows stronger. FABRI’s success lies in using our diversity as a strength – and becoming better together.”‍The FABRI team is already looking forward to the next meeting in spring 2026. Until then, there will be additional formats to foster exchange, strengthen the network, and work together toward a successful future.

YOUNG FABRI meeting in Würzburg — Shaping the future, taking responsibility

28.03.2025

At this year's YOUNG FABRI meeting in Würzburg in March, our young managers from FABRI Group companies came together — with a clear goal: to work together on the future of crafts and to actively shape change. In addition to getting to know each other, the focus was on strategic issues that are decisive for the future development of the group of companies. Technical lectures on business principles, such as BWA analysis or the handling of down payment and partial invoices, provided a solid foundation. Because anyone who wants to take on responsibility must understand business interrelationships — practical, tangible and relevant to their own leadership role. A real highlight was the impetus to use artificial intelligence in crafts. While only around 40% of craft businesses currently use AI solutions, our YOUNG FABRI's have shown clear ambitions: Technologies such as AI should be specifically integrated into their own processes — not at some point, but from now on. Tim Bunkus from adesso AG opened this trip in a well-founded manner. It also became clear that AI is much more than ChatGPT — it is a strategic tool for innovation and efficiency. At the same time, people remained at the center of the meeting. In an interactive workshop with Frauke Puttfarken, the focus was on the development of organization and team structures. Because modern project management and strong teams are the basis for sustainable change. Technology is important — but real progress can only be achieved through good leadership and clear values. The event was rounded off by open discussions, honest exchanges and many personal encounters — for example at a joint BBQ in the evening. This not only provided new impetus, but also strengthened networks that have an impact beyond the event. The YOUNG FABRI meeting 2025 was more than just a meeting — it was a strategic milestone. Our talents are ready to take on responsibility and work with us to shape the craft of tomorrow.
